WHY I LOVE WHAT I DO
I believe that there is much untapped potential sitting in every business. To unlock it takes clarity of purpose, strong relationships, self-awareness and the right processes and skills to get the best out of each and every one of us. A career that has involved working in many teams, both at a leading business level and project level. This has created a passion for finding ways to foster genuine collaboration and commitment to deliver the right impact, and to foster a working culture that is enjoyable, rewarding and commercially successful. That applies to both our clients and our B3.0 team and requires ingenuity, structure, insight and experience.
A BUSINESS RESULT I AM PROUD OF
I am proud of the work that I have done with Irish Distillers. Jameson is becoming one of the world’s leading whiskey brands because of their strong brand, and the culture of their people who have an unquenchable passion and belief in the brand, fuelling growth and recruiting customers. It embodies the spirit of a small brand but the impact of a big, increasingly global brand. I have worked with both the Leadership team, the broader marketing team and the brand homes on their Blueprint and most critically how that translates into reality across the business day to day. I am proud to have been part of their commercial success and growth.
A BUSINESS REINVENTION I ADMIRE
I admire Pret a Manger for staying ahead of their competition and staying true to who they are. That early central proposition of delivering food on the go that was much better than the other kids on the block (your independent soggy sandwich shop) of the 80’s has stayed with them. They are constantly changing and updating their offer so that their customers are surprised, in a good way. Their competition is everywhere in many varied forms but they are guaranteeably delicious, served efficiently with a smile. Getting around-the-clock quality and maintaining an impressive service culture amongst a high turnover of staff is impressive.
