WHY I LOVE WHAT I DO
I love getting into the complexities of, and working on, a business challenge, from the numbers to the resourcing structures to the human dynamics! I have a deep passion for cutting through complexity and I hate inefficiency; it sometimes gets me in trouble.

A BUSINESS RESULT I'M PROUD OF
Over the past few years I have found connecting businesses with customers and seeing the change this makes in people incredibly rewarding. On a recent programme with a big utilities company a member of staff involved said “they (felt) more connected than any time in the last 12 years”. That is one of the many reasons I love this job. Re-inventing businesses should benefit every level of a company and I always have an eye on frontline colleagues.

A BUSINESS REINVENTION I ADMIRE
I am a theatre graduate and often find motivation in theatre and arts. It taught me how to be creative, pragmatic and commercially rigorous in equal measure. The National Theatre is always inspiring to me. It reminds me of what a business can really do to change its image and structure. Since 2003 Nicolas Hytner has changed the way they work, from broadcasting live productions into cinemas, to multiple global tours and to incredible collaborations. British theatre has reached more people than ever, and that is incredible in the complexities of subsidised theatre.
